WEATHERFORD — PBar Farms' has opened a new corn maze with a design celebrating Oklahoma's Centennial. "The Maize," which will be open through Nov. 18, includes questions from Oklahoma's statehood and history to guide visitors through the puzzle.
Though the correct pathways can be walked in less than 30 minutes, most directionally challenged visitors will require about one hour to travel through the 9-foot-high puzzle containing more than 95 decision points, 300,000 stalks and 3.5 miles of twists and turns.
A special haunted maze will be open nightly Oct. 19-31 (except Sundays).
Visitors to PBar Farms also can enjoy hay and train rides, a petting zoo, pumpkin patches and antique tractors. The farm is open 5 to 10 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and 2 to 6 p.m. Sundays. Weekday field trips and special events are available by reservation.
It is off Interstate 40 between Hydro and Weatherford. Exit 88 (from east) and follow Old Route 66 for about three miles.
