KAW CITY -- The incumbent chairman of the Kaw Nation will be sworn in today for a second four-year term after tribal voters re- elected him Saturday.

Guy Monroe defeated Wanda Stone, 138 to 99.

The tribe also filled two council seats. Luther M. Pepper and Marilyn Mehojah York were the top two vote-getters.
