Why Adrian returned kicks
OU's Adrian Peterson returned kicks for the first time as a Sooner, part of a strategy to prevent teams from benefiting by kicking away from Reggie Smith .
"I hadn't done it since high school," Peterson said. "It takes work. You've got to read the blocks and understand and see what you've got set up."
Peterson had 68 yards on three returns, with a long of 28 yards.
