Lottery sales lagging, but expected to pick up

Revenue from the Oklahoma Lottery is lagging slightly behind projections for the current fiscal year, but is expected to pick up as the year moves on, the director of the Oklahoma Lottery Commission said Tuesday.

Director James Scroggins said the lottery is expected to generate $123 million for education over the current fiscal year, and that sales are typically sluggish toward the end of the summer.
