Oklahoma linebacker Rufus Alexander was arrested early Sunday morning after an altercation in Norman, according to a report by KWTV Channel 9.

Alexander, a senior, and two others were arrested at 2:10 a.m.

According to information provided the station by Norman police department spokesman J.D. Younger, Alexander was driving a car at the 700 block of Asp Avenue, when another man, James Wheeler, stepped in front of the car.

Alexander exited the car, and a verbal confrontation escalated into a fight, resulting in the arrests and municipal charges.

Alexander faces complaints of disturbing the peace and interference with official process. Wheeler faces complaints of disturbing the peace, interference with official process and public intoxication. The third man, Jared Scelfo, faces complaints of disturbing the peace and public intoxication.
