Welcome to my world: OSU quarterback Bobby Reid

Published: October 28, 2006

OSU starting quarterback Bobby Reid went down in the second quarter of the OSU's 34-33 loss to Texas A&M last week. He suffered a concussion and spent the remainder of the game in the training room or on the sidelines. Reid watched as backup Zac Robinson led Oklahoma State to three touchdowns before losing in overtime. Reid should start today as the Cowboys take on the No. 20 Nebraska Cornhuskers.

It was a concussion. That's football. Somebody is going to get dinged around sometime. Unfortunately, it was me at the time. I'm getting ready for Nebraska this week.

Oh man, I was so proud of (Zac). Not for one second in my mind did I think he was going to mess up. He made that one bad pass. But no telling, I probably would have made that. From the angle I saw it, I probably wouldn't have seen that guy either. I was so proud of him. He threw three touchdowns. He put the team in a position to win and unfortunately we lost. But he did everything we asked him to do.

It wasn't really a roller coaster (to watch the game). I've got all the faith in Zac. I know there were some people out there saying that he probably couldn't do it, but I knew. The offense knew. When I was on the sidelines, guys were coming over checking on me, making sure I was all right. They had to get back to business and I told them, ‘Everything's going to be all right. Zac's going to take care of you.' And he did.

Yeah, I felt that had I been there, we probably would have won the game. But like I said, it was an unfortunate event. Now we're just getting ready for Nebraska.
