The Flaming Lips proposed as namesake of Bricktown alley
Bricktown property owners and merchants indicated Wednesday they are divided on proposals to rename three streets after musicians Vince Gill , Charlie Christian and The Flaming Lips .
Much of the controversy stems over a proposal by Mayor Mick Cornett to name an alley between Sheridan Avenue and the Bricktown Canal after The Flaming Lips.
