Largent, who is a Pro Football Hall of Famer after a record-setting career with the Seattle Seahawks, will join former Minnesota Twins star Harmon Killebrew and NBA standout Steve Smith as 2006 inductees. All are being honored for athletic achievements and outstanding community work.
Largent was recognized in 1988 as NFL Man of the Year for his commitment to community service. The former Putnam City High School standout won the Athletes in Action's Bart Starr Award in 1989, given to the NFL player who exemplifies leadership in the community.
