With a full house of fans wearing teal, it was a great way to start the opening night.

”We love how much support Oklahoma City fans show,” said the Honeybees. There was even a man with his face and beard fully painted showing his Hornets pride. The pregame consisted of the Shattuck High School cheerleaders. Lauren Nelson, Miss Oklahoma 2006, performed the National Anthem.

“The team has great character, self gratitude, and plays hard together,” said Mr. Bower (general manager for the Hornets).

The game was off to a fantastic start with #24 Desmond Mason. He scored the first two points of the game during the first quarter with 11:24 still on the clock. A powerplay was when #6 Tyson Chandler did a mighty slam dunk. At halftime the score was 52 – 43, Hornets leading.

The halftime had an interesting magic act. While the Hornets and Warriors kept a close game in the third quarter, Hornets still remained in the lead 74–64.

Fans started to get out of seats and really support team as score tied 81-81, fourth quarter 6:25 left.

Hornets win 97-93.
