NORMAN — Jeff Capel expected to get Bobby Maze in the game Saturday night.

The Oklahoma coach just didn’t expect Maze to play such a pivotal role for the Sooners, who pulled away to defeat Coppin State 64-47 before an estimated 6,200 fans at the Lloyd Noble Center .
