National Lacrosse League representatives will be in Oklahoma City on Thursday to discuss the possibility of placing an expansion franchise in the Ford Center in 2008.
, vice president of communications, said the league will meet with city officials and a potential franchise owner. The group is expected to tour the Ford Center.
The NLL is a professional indoor league with 13 teams in major markets such as Chicago, Buffalo, New York, Philadelphia and Toronto. The 16-game season runs January through April. Most NLL teams are owned or operated by NHL and NBA teams.
