The RiverKings won 4-2 at the DeSoto Civic Center ice to take a three games to two lead in the best-of-seven series.

Just one second after ending a power play, Memphis scored a go-ahead goal at 18:57, then added an empty net score with four seconds to go.

"The referee was a big part of the game tonight,” Blazers coach Doug Sauter said. "It was a hard fought game. We had our chances. I thought we played extremely well.

"We had a sluggish first period and then we got to playing well in the second and third, and we had some great opportunities.”

The series returns to Oklahoma City tonight. The Blazers must win to force a Game 7 in Memphis on Tuesday night.

Memphis can win the first-round series tonight, but the Blazers also could advance to the next round — if first-seeded Bossier-Shreveport and second-seeded Colorado both win their first-round series.

The Blazers' goals were scored by Garrett Prosofsky, who has scored six times in five playoff games, and Peter Robertson, whose first playoff goal this season came on a power play that tied the score with 8:58 left.

Prosofsky missed on a penalty shot opportunity with 9:45 remaining.

"We've got to play hard and go from there,” Sauter said. "We had some missed opportunities tonight. The guys are very, very disappointed, but at the same time we know that we can beat this team.”
