Leslie Dallam, a teacher at Norman High School, has been selected as a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars.

Dallam was nominated by student Amy Ilawan for outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence in teaching.

The Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction award recognizes teachers who have made a lasting difference in their classrooms by encouraging students to strive for excellence.

Two of Norman Regional Hospital's registered nurses were recently recognized for their contributions to women's health at the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses award banquet.

Susie Graves received the 2007 Excellence in Leadership award. She has served as director of Women's and Children's Services for Norman Regional Helath System for seven years. She has been a member of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses for 11 years.

Paula Martin, a charge nurse at Norman Regional Family Birth Center, received the 2007 Excellence in Clinical Practice award.

Martin has been a nurse at Norman Regional Hospital since 1992. She has been a member of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses for 6 years.
