Lynn Lewallen, a science teacher at Norman North, is charged with two counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of rape by instrumentation, District Attorney Greg Mashburn said.
Lewallen came to court with her attorney for an appearance before a judge, who set the personal recognizance bond, officials said.
According to the victim, Lewallen and the student would leave school together during their lunch break to commit these acts, Mashburn said.
"The allegations at this point are that things were happening at the school and at the teacher's house,” Mashburn said.
Lewallen has been employed with the Norman School District since 1996, Superintendent Joe Siano said. She served as the Norman North High School girls head basketball coach from 1997 to 2004.
Lewallen was suspended with pay May 4 after she was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old girl, Siano said.
