Governor pardons man in woman's '84 slaying

Harold Gene Weatherly considers himself a doting husband and loving father and stepfather to seven children.

But until Friday, to the state he was a convicted felon having served more than 15 years in prison for brutally stabbing a south Oklahoma City woman in 1984.

After fighting to clear his name for more than 20 years, he was pardoned Friday by Gov. Brad Henry .
