Owens cheers for hometown
NORMAN -- Heisman Trophy winner Steve Owens has a message for his hometown -- keep on fighting.
Owens, originally from Miami, OK , still has family in the northeast Oklahoma which was hit by flooding earlier this month.
In an interview with Soonersports.com , Owens said he has talked to his family and will soon be helping to raise money for victims of the floor.
