Nebraska linebacker Bo Ruud: "Boise State had about the best arsenal of trick plays I've ever seen in college football, and that's no joke. If you're a big-time program, you can fall asleep on a team like Boise State. You know what their mindset is when they're playing Oklahoma. It's their chance to show the world what they can do, and that's what they did. I don't know how Oklahoma prepared for that, but I have an idea how Boise State did.”

Kansas cornerback Aqib Talib: "Oklahoma, I'm sure they're not lessened. They're not lessened at all by that. (Boise State) ran some trick plays, and they got it. That's what trick plays are for. The coach for Boise did an excellent job on calling 'em at the right time.”

OU tight end Joe Jon Finley: "You take some pride in being part of college football history. But you always want to be on the other side of that history.”

Kansas coach Mark Mangino: "Being a Big 12 guy and having ties to Oklahoma, I felt badly about it. At the same time, it goes to show you, a team that has nothing to lose and has a point to prove, they're willing to take a lot of chances and do what they have to to win the game. For Oklahoma, if you beat 'em, you're supposed to, and if you don't, look at you. So they're kind of in a no-win position.”

OU flanker Malcolm Kelly: "Anytime somebody says something to me, they say something like, ‘Oh, man, that was the greatest game I've ever watched.' I don't want to hear that, because we didn't win.”

It was the greatest game I, at 34, have ever seen. I was not there, but last years team should not feel bad about that loss at all.
