STILLWATER — Oklahoma State linebacker Alex Odiari was arrested without incident by Stillwater police Thursday morning at 12:36 a.m. when a woman called to inform officers Odiari violated a restraining order.
Odiari's ex-girlfriend obtained an emergency protection order on July 5 to protect her from Odiari after she claimed Odiari had shown violent tendencies during a previous "dating relationship.”
To obtain the EPO, the woman claimed Odiari in the past had thrown her against a wall and repeatedly grabbed and shoved her.
The woman also stated during the relationship he made several threats and said he would kill her and the next guy she dated if they broke up.
According to police documents Odiari also was cited for possession of a fake ID and being under the age of 21 inside Willie's Bar late Wednesday night.
Kevin Klintworth, associate athletic director for media relations, said coach Mike Gundy is obtaining more information concerning the case before he comments.
Odiari, a junior who was born in Nigeria, started the Cowboys' first four games last season.
