Why state minorities may become majority

Minority growth has outpaced that for whites in a large number of Oklahoma ’s counties since 2000, but Adair County still remains the only county in the state where minorities are the majority.

Across the state, counties registered significant growth in the number of people considered minorities, new census data show.
