EDMOND — A man wanted by the Kansas Department of Corrections was arrested last week by Edmond police.

Jared Curtis Race, 29, Hutchinson, Kan., was being held in the Oklahoma County jail.

Edmond police said they were called Tuesday to a mobile home at 601 Vista Lane because of a reported domestic disturbance.

Before the officer arrived at the home, he was told that a man involved in the disturbance had left in a maroon-colored vehicle, according to a police report.

The officer spotted a vehicle matching the description and arrested the man identified as Race after he said he had been at the mobile home where the domestic disturbance was reported.

Police said Race is wanted on three Kansas Department of Corrections warrants on kidnapping, aggravated escape and robbery.
