Owners say regulations for dairy farms led to loss of entire herd
When a lone cow from an Oklahoma Panhandle ranch tested positive for tuberculosis last November, dominoes began to fall on what was once known as the old 101 Ranch in Cimarron County .
The discovery and subsequent investigation set off a chain of events that resulted in the "depopulation” of the entire herd — 1,200-plus head — of cattle on the 30,000-acre ranch now operated by Jane and Bobby Apple.
