OU among top-selling college merchandise

Oklahoma has cracked the top 10 — in college merchandise.

According to the ranking released by Collegiate Licensing Co., which brands merchandise for nearly 200 athletic programs in the country, the Sooners are No. 8 among major programs. The list, published this weekend in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, was for the period of July 1, 2006-June 30, 2007.

Oklahoma State made the Top 25, coming in just ahead of Minnesota at the No. 24 spot.

Texas and Notre Dame are the top 2.
