A poll of 42 college football coaches has found some consensus — the Pac-10 Conference has the worst referees.

The poll, conducted by the Seattle Times, surveyed coaches, including Bob Stoops of Oklahoma.

The Pac-10 was the top vote-getter for conference with the ‘most incompetent officiating.' The Big Ten was voted the best.

Pac-10 officials, of course, were at the heart of Oklahoma's disputed loss to Oregon last season.

I would say that the Big 12 refs are a real close second. I wonder, are all of them from Texas???

Steph -- I'll blame 'em all. The refs did the deed, they get to shoulder some the blame. The League which didn't can their sorry behinds is also to blame.

Don't blame the refs. Blame the ones that hire them. If you have an incompetent employee, either train them, or get rid of them.

The one who GAVE Texas Tech that bs touchdown to win the game in Lubbock a couple years ago was from Lubbock, TX. How convenient.
