In the season opener against North Texas, five Sooners who are on the spot with their individual performance:

5. Alonzo Dotson, sr., DE
Dotson has had a couple of good games, but a fifth-year senior must be more consistent. If Dotson doesn't play well, he could fall out of the pass-rush rotation.
4. Branndon Braxton, jr., OT
The Sooners have seven solid blockers and only five slots available. O-line coach James Patton would have no qualms about inserting Trent Williams into the lineup.
3. DeMarcus Granger, so., DT
Conditioning has kept the ballyhooed Granger in the doghouse. Play hard, or Granger could slide down the depth chart.
2. D.J. Wolfe, sr., SS
Darien Williams and Lendy Holmes, two players well-liked by this coaching staff, are not starting. Wolfe has been benched before.
1. Sam Bradford, fr., QB
The last winner of an OU quarterback derby kept the job for one game. Play well against the Mean Green, or the Kid Nichol Era might begin with Miami.
