Oklahoma freshman defensive tackle
Gerald McCoy suffered a broken bone in his right hand last Saturday against Miami.
He fractured the fourth metacarpal and is wearing a cast, but does not expect to miss any time.
"I'm working to get better at it, so (the cast) won't slow me down,”
McCoy said. "It doesn't hurt.”
McCoy said he sustained the injury during
OU's attempted goal-line stand in which Miami ran eight plays inside the
Sooners' 10-yard line before finally scoring a touchdown in the second quarter.
"When I was in the game, my adrenaline was rushing and I didn't feel nothing,”
McCoy said.
"I finished the game and they X-rayed it after the game.”
McCoy said he doesn't know how long he'll have to wear the cast.

Chef Sam: Of all the comparisons that have been made with
OU quarterback
Sam Bradford, offensive coordinator
Kevin Wilson is the first to involve food.
"Offensively, there's things that win games,”
Wilson said.
"Being physical, taking care of the ball, having balance. After that, who are the right guys, who are the right pieces of the pie and where do you place those guys?
"Right now, there's a lot of nice pieces out there on that pie and Sam's kind of the chef back there cooking and he's got some pretty good ingredients out there.”
Wilson stressed that his offensive philosophies are fluid and are formed around the players and their abilities.
"If we had a different type of quarterback, you'd be seeing some different things,” he said.
"We would not be playing three tight ends if we didn't have three really good tight ends. That's just a product of the players and trying to take advantage of their talents.”
