Disabilities center grows
The state's oldest and largest community-based agency serving people with disabilities is celebrating the expansion and improvement of its campus.

Integris to use new technology
Integris Baptist Medical Center is one of the first hospitals to use the SpyGlass Direct Visualization System after it received approval from the Food and Drug Administration.
Boston Scientific, which manufactures the device, chose Integris because ERCP, or endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography procedures, are performed there, according to a news release.
The procedure is used to diagnose problems of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas and bile ducts and involves inserting a long, flexible tube with a camera through the mouth to the intestine.
Obesity walk set
Oklahoma City residents are invited to participate in the "Walk from Obesity” to fight obesity at the Oklahoma City Zoo on Sept. 29. Registration will be at 8 a.m. The walk will begin at 9 a.m. Funds raised will go to support the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the Obesity Action Coalition. Men's fair planned
Integris Health has implemented the Men's Health University program, a health screening and wellness event. Men-U will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 22 at Oklahoma City Community College, 7777 S May Ave., parking lot D, entry 6. It also will include a grilling competition.
Flu shot clinic set
Integris Pacer Health Services will offer drive-through flu shots for $22. The drive-through clinic will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 29 in the Integris Baptist Medical Center east parking lot. People ages 9 and older are eligible for the shots. Cash and checks are accepted, but Medicare is not.
