Guy says he's long been aware of Murray
College coaches throughout the country are well aware of Oklahoma redshirt freshman running back DeMarco Murray, and Utah State's Brent Guy is no different.

Sooners coach Bob Stoops saw Murray dunk a basketball in his junior season at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas and reportedly offered Murray a scholarship on the spot. Guy also had seen some of Murray's athletic exploits.

"I was like Bob,” Guy said. "When I saw DeMarco when he was a sophomore and I was (an assistant at) Arizona State, I was ready to offer him (a scholarship) just like Bob did. That guy's a very talented guy. You can see the speed and agility.”

Murray rushed for 100 yards on four carries against the Aggies, which included a 92-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

"We had a tough time tackling him,” Guy said. "He's a great cutback runner, plus he has a lot of speed. We had the angle (on the touchdown run), and he outran us. We had two guys with angles and he just flat outran us.”
