Inside OU's unraveling

•Stitch by stitch, a victory that should have been sewn up by Oklahoma came unraveled Saturday at Folsom Field. Here's how it happened:

Tipped and picked
OU receiver Juaquin Iglesias found an opening in Colorado's secondary and had room to run, but Sam Bradford's pass was just out of his reach. Iglesias tipped the ball, and it was intercepted by Ryan Walters at the Colorado 38.

Personal foul
Following Walters' interception, Colorado drove inside the OU 20 and would have faced a second-and-12, but linebacker Curtis Lofton was flagged for a personal foul, allegedly for pulling the hair of CU lineman Kai Maiava that gave the Buffs first-and-goal at the 7 yard line. Colorado scored on fourth down to pull within a touchdown.

Muffed punt
When Colorado missed a field goal and the Oklahoma defense held after another Bradford interception, it seemed the Sooners might escape. But Reggie Smith mishandled a punt, setting up Colorado 16 yards away from the tying touchdown.

The replay
Iglesias dove to catch a pass that gave OU a first down at midfield with 3:10 left. But after video review, it was ruled the ball hit the ground.

The knockout
Bradford threw to Joe Jon Finley on a third-down play that would have given OU a first down, but Finley was hit by Terrance Wheatley, knocking the ball out of his hands and forcing an OU punt.

Disappointing, but not the end of the season. Seems that we look past the ones that sneak up and bite us when we look to the games that really aren't that worrysome. Texas is ripe for a smacking and Stoops and company better get the chip back on their shoulders and go out and do some damage. A loss at Texas this week will end the season for all practical purposes. The sun still comes up in the morning and I still have SOONRZ on my Texas car tag. SAW EM' OFF!! GO Sooners!

OU let it slip away. We had the game won, but the Buffs capitalized on O-U's miscues and missed oppurtunities. It happens on every football field during every game in every state. Heads up. Texas is next. Take care of one game a week. Keep focus on a chance to play for the conference championship. Boomer Sooner!!!

I still support the Sooners, they just got outplayed and I am sure they are just as sick about as the rest of us. If you are a real Sooner fan you still support them whether they rise or fall. BOB STOOPS is still the man!

Bottom line is we got out-coached. Play calling was nothing like first 4 games, Coaches should feel heat including Stoops. What has Bob done lately for us???

Five of the top ten teams lost. 7 of the top 13 teams lost. #3 OU lost by 3 ON THE ROAD. #7 Texass lost by 20 AT HOME. #4 Florida lost by 3 AT HOME. #10 Rutgers lost by 10 AT HOME! Yeah... OU is the most overrated team in the nation. *rolls eyes* Mike, you're an idiot. Go back to the sandlot, child!

I was shocked to hear ESPM comment on Bradford "Playing like a Freshman", if you ask me it was the receiving core that let him down! Sam got the ball where he needed to and there were several key drops. I'm also not sure about that replay, but after Oregon I don't want to get into it again. All I can do is shake my head way up here in CT and try to explain how our All-American can let that punt slip through his hands. Misery loves company and at least a bunch of other teams fell prey as well. We MUST beat Texas!!!!
