Sam Bradford has been a quarterback at Oklahoma for more than a year.

But he's been the quarterback in Norman for only a month or so.

Big difference, right?

Not according to Bradford.

"I really wouldn't say it's much different than it was before,” he said. "Probably a few more people recognize you, but you try not to let it affect the way your life is.”

Roommates, both past and present, have said Bradford is a low-key, stay-at-home guy. His idea of an exciting night out is going to dinner or seeing a movie.

He prefers staying in, playing video games or watching "Entourage.”

Bradford's demeanor off the field mirrors it on the field.

"He's pretty quiet for the most part,” center Jon Cooper said.

"He's just, I guess you could say, a straight arrow.”

Offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson said, "He's very calm, level headed. He's very mature.”

Wilson chalks that up to several factors. Part of it is Bradford's nature, and part of it is his nurturing, both by his family and from his experiences.

Bradford played many sports as a kid and by competing, he learned how to handle crazy situations.

It's helped him on the field, but it's been just as important on campus and around town.

"People try to talk to you in class and tell you how good you're doing,” he said.

"You can't let that affect you. You know you've got to go in and work hard every day.”
