Keys to the game

Key players
•Oklahoma linebacker Curtis Lofton: If it weren't for a personal foul for hair pulling, Lofton would've been OU's defensive player of the game with a 16-tackle performance last week against Colorado. In all the time spent discussing how the OU defense got worn down from being on the field so long, it was forgotten that Lofton was the only player in OU's front seven to play every defensive snap.
•Texas quarterback Colt McCoy: McCoy says he's ready to play, but Texas media describe him as a player who looks shell-shocked. He threw four interceptions and threw up on the sideline after suffering a concussion last week in a 41-21 loss to Kansas State. He'll need protection from a struggling offensive line today.
Key matchup
•Oklahoma vs. itself: Last week, Oklahoma made a variety of mistakes that allowed Colorado to overcome a 24-7 deficit. Last year against Texas, OU committed five turnovers and 11 penalties, while the Longhorns had just three penalties and didn't turn the ball over. As double-digit favorites today, the Sooners' biggest enemy will be themselves.
Key statistic
18: The total number of quarterback sacks by the Oklahoma defense. Texas has allowed just six all season, but has struggled to give McCoy ample time to find open receivers.

OU needs to be at least 21 points better, cause the texas refs can give UT 2 TDs without remorse.

Stoops teams are always ready for UT. This year I believe he has the better players. Mack Brown's recruiting skill not withstanding, Stoops has brought in a few Mack sorely wanted. Does this mean OU will win? No, anything can happen in this game which feeds off so much emotion. I do think OU will either win by a blowut, or lose a squeaker.
