While Missouri will trot out more talented players than North Texas, the spread offense the Tigers will bring to Norman Saturday will offer a similar look to what Oklahoma saw back in the season opener.

An advantage?
"Anytime you're playing the teams who are spread all out, it gives you a background in it,” Sooners coach Bob Stoops said during the Big 12 teleconference Monday. "It isn't just North Texas, which we played against them. There are some things that relate; some things don't.
"But we're fairly used to playing in space and/or playing against teams that spread it out and operate this way. So we have a good background in it.”
The Sooners also have a good history against it.
OU handled Missouri in a 26-10 win in Columbia a year ago. And the Sooners have traditionally fared well against spread attacks.
As for Mizzou, most of the key figures return for the Tigers, although with an added year of experience.
Perhaps the key figure: Mizzou quarterback Chase Daniel, named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week after leading a 41-6 rout of Nebraska Saturday night. Daniel produced a career-best 473 yards of offense and four touchdowns as the Tigers improved to 6-0, leading to a bump to No. 11 in the rankings.
"You've got a lot of good athletes who are running routes and working their combinations to get open,” Stoops said. "I think Chase does a good job of seeing windows and where he has his opportunities. And he gets the ball out quick to them.
"They have an excellent system and he does a fantastic job of running it and distributing the ball.”
Other notables from Stoops through the teleconference:Will the ESPN's GameDay crew present a distraction?
"We don't even see them. We don't do anything differently and we don't even notice when they're here.”
Can it help in recruiting?
"I imagine the exposure of it helps to some degree.”
What wisdom did Stoops pass on to Mark Mangino, who has Kansas off to a 5-0 start?
"I didn't pass on any wisdom to Mark. He's a smart guy who's worked hard. As much as anything, he had a good background, here as well as at Kansas State being, part of our building process.
"My only advice is always stick to what you believe in. I didn't have to tell Mark that. And he's done an excellent job of building a strong, fundamental team that plays the right way. They've done a great job.”

Wolfe will continue to be burned until he learns the real meanings of truth and consent. It is so difficult to be against the Sooners, next year will be such a relief.
normally when gameday its on tv 'if not inormally have to pay 21.95 for it on dish ppv sooner in south carlion.stoops and company will get the job done'cu was a wake up callthis is our season boomer sooner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The OU coaches and players see Missouri as a serious threat to their season. As much space as people are using to complain about OU's supposed lack of defense, not much is being given to the dominance OU's offense will have against Missouri's defense. Colorado has a pretty good defense, so does Miami. OU is also playing at home and scores points there. This Missouri team is improved, but so are the Sooners. Turnovers and the ability to score after causing them will dictate the outcome of this game. Not much of a pass rush? OU's defense has as many sacks as anyone in the country as well as tackles for loss. They also have a solid group of DB's who are seeing a lot more passes because teams realize they can't run against the Sooners. OU can not take Missouri lightly, but let's not give Missouri that much credit, yet. Yeah, they beat Nebraska (whose season tanked with the loss to USC--who in turn lost to Stanford). I like OU's chances very much in this game.
Teams draw the linebackers up by running the ball then complete passes to the tight end over the top, happens all day in the NFL too, against the best linebackers in the world. Missouri wont pose the running threat that Texas did with Jamaal Charles. Mizzou's starting running back has a sprained ankle and may or may not play. They will still run the ball, but not as effectively. Also, you will see a lot more nickle packages this week. They played mostly 4-3 against Texas, which they should against the sets that Texas uses. Texas did a good job of getting the tight ends in space and taking advantage of some mismatches. You just cant stop everything all the time.
Seriously people, if you don't know what was happening on Saturday, then don't comment. Ryan Reynolds was the biggest problem against Texas. He didnt drop deep enough in coverage and they hit the tight end behind him the entire first half. Go back and look at the film, OU moved the safety over in the second half to help shadow him deep and then Texas couldnt do anything. The DB's werent the problem on Saturday, it was the LB's (mainly Reynolds) who werent covering the TE's. MU will use multiple TE's and I expect OU to play nickle and dime defense with a LB shadowing Daniel for most of the game.
OU defenders are stil letting guys run by them and it doesn't seem to me they are finishing tackles particularly well. If they do not pursue, tackle or play pass defense well against the Missouri QB, we could see another upset.
How will the Tigers handle the Sooners offense. If OU is on all cylinders offensively, OU wins by at least 14. Missouri looked fantastic against a heartless Nebraska team.
If the secondary (Wolfe and co.) don't get their act together, we can all expect an extremely disappointing Saturday evening. Some pressure from the D-line wouldn't hurt either. However, it is obvious to EVERYONE that OU's pass defense is their achilles heel.

Sooners need to be ready and not commit so many penalties as they did in the Texas game.Pass defense still seems to be a problem, need to put more pressure on the q.b. if possible. Mizzou will be more than a handful this year. Go Sooners
