GameDay location set
Oklahoma officials announced Wednesday that the ESPN College Football GameDay set will be constructed in the infield of John Jacobs Track, immediately east of Owen Field.
Fans planning to attend can only enter through gates on the southwest corner of the track facility.
The track itself will be closed, and all fans should restrict themselves to the grass infield or to the bleachers on the south side of the track.
GameDay's first broadcast from Norman will be at 4 p.m. Friday. Gates will open to fans at 3 p.m.
The Saturday morning show will begin at 9 a.m., and gates will open two hours prior.
ESPN requests that fans be in place by 8 a.m.
The parking lots adjacent to the track will be controlled on Friday and Saturday as they are on all game weekends.
Those attending GameDay functions will need to make alternate parking plans.
•Another Colorado? Looking through Missouri game tape, OU offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson sees some familiar concepts.
"It's going to be very similar to what we saw at Colorado,” Wilson said of the Tiger defense.
"We didn't execute well. I know (Missouri coaches) are watching that game over and over, because we struggled. And there's some things that Colorado does that very specifically fits (Missouri's) package.”
•What's new? Most of the players are back and the principles of the offense are the same, but Missouri is a very different team than it was a year ago, says OU secondary coach Bobby Jack Wright.
While the look of the offense is the same, the Tigers added a variety of trick plays, including the formation that was developed in 1999 by then-OU offensive coordinator Mike Leach and came to be called "The Ninja.” It features offensive tackles split out wide next to a receiver, with another receiver or running back behind them.
"They've added a lot of gimmicks,” Wright said. "They give you a few more problems from the standpoint of formation adjustments.
"(Trick plays) aren't just something they pull out every once in a while. It's part of their arsenal.”

Is the statue of liberty so different than that lame draw play we run so often. Have Murray line up in the slot and take it. It provides the same function of draw but has a better suprise element.
Take a chill pill. OU struggled in Colorado because of dropped passes and poor execution. Granted, it wasn't Wilson's best game, but we should have won. Bad games happen, even when we win the title.
