Keys to the game

Key players
Oklahoma safety Lendy Holmes: Holmes is only used in five-defensive back sets, but that's what the Sooner defense will use most of the day today, so Holmes will be counted on often. He has allowed a couple of big plays in the passing game this season, but had maybe his best game of the year last season at Missouri.

Missouri running backs: Tiger tailback Tony Temple is out, but he has some capable backups. The Tigers struggled to run the ball last season and it led to their demise. They'll need production form the running backs to pull off the upset today.

Key matchup
•Missouri's Jeremy Maclin vs. OU's kick coverage teams: Aside from being a big-play threat as a receiver or on reverses, Maclin can go the distance on a punt or kickoff at any time. The redshirt freshman has two return TDs already this season.

Oklahoma's coverage teams have shown some weaknesses the last few weeks and could be susceptible to giving up a big one.

Key statistic
556.6: Missouri's total offensive yards per game through five games. Oklahoma is allowing 283.8 yards per game.
