OSU linebackers: Patrick Lavine (13 tackles), Donovan Woods (12) and Jeremy Nethon (7) combined for 32 tackles. Woods also registered a sack and forced two fumbles.

Coaching staff: After making several controversial calls last week — one leading to a busted play one foot from the goal line, another leading to a roughing the punter penalty — OSU's staff pushed all the right buttons. The Cowboys' 38-0 halftime lead was the best evidence of that.

Derek Burton: With senior defensive end Marque Fountain sidelined by a hamstring injury, Burton was forced to play more snaps. Burton finished with four tackles, tying Nathan Peterson for most by an OSU defensive lineman.
