Cohen ranks 13th in the country with a punting average of 44.3 yards per kick.

The Guy Award is presented in December.

No OU player has won the award since it was created in 2000. In 2001, however, OU punter Jeff Ferguson was a finalist.

DT Coleman may sit: Defensive coordinator Brent Venables said OU coaches hope to hold defensive tackle Steve Coleman out of Saturday's game with Iowa State. Coleman is battling an abdominal strain, Venables said.

After Iowa State, OU has a bye week, so Coleman would have two weeks to rest before the Sooners play Texas A&M on Nov. 3.

CBS All-Americans: Receiver Malcolm Kelly and defensive end Auston English have been named Halfway All-Americans by CBSSports.com.

Kelly is tied for fourth in the country in TD receptions with eight. English leads the Big 12 in sacks with 7.5.

LSU and Boston College had the most players on the list with three each.

OU-Texas Tech tickets available: The OU ticket office still has tickets available for OU's Nov. 17 game at Texas Tech. Tickets are $65 each.

For more information, call the ticket office at 1-800-456-4668.

Why do sports media peolpe refer to an "open" week as a "bye" week? A bye is when a team/person advances without playing.
