Quran rejection seen as insult
TULSA — Refusals by at least 24 state legislators to accept gift copies of the Quran were called disrespectful and bigoted Friday by representatives of six Tulsa organizations that promote interfaith tolerance.
The illustrated Qurans bearing Oklahoma Centennial seals are to be distributed to Gov. Brad Henry and state legislators.
