Ada-based DA to end 27-year career

ADA — A high profile district attorney who has been featured in television specials and best-selling books has decided to retire after 27 years.

Bill Peterson , district attorney for the 22nd district that includes Pontotoc, Seminole and Hughes counties, said he plans to retire after Jan. 1, his office confirmed Monday morning.
