When it comes to spending, Buckeyes fill the bill

When it comes to this week's BCS top-10 standings, Ohio State is the costliest program. Georgia is the most profitable, Missouri the most affordable.

This is based on the most recent figures available (ending June 30, 2006) from the Office of Postsecondary Education.

Ohio State and Georgia are the biggest budget monsters and are followed by LSU, Oklahoma, Arizona State and West Virginia.

Missouri and Kansas are last in revenues, but they also have the smallest budgets.

Perennial powers Texas, Michigan, Florida, Alabama, Penn State, USC and Nebraska aren't in this week's top 10, but they're still among the elite spenders.
