$18M urged for nurse training

An organization examining a critical shortage of health care workers in Oklahoma will ask for nearly $18 million over three years from state lawmakers, mostly for scholarships for students and faculty.

The Oklahoma Health Care Workforce Center , formed by the Legislature in 2006, said the money would be distributed through the State Regents for Higher Education.
