Tractor-trailer crash kills 2 on interstate

Two people were killed in a tractor-trailer rig wreck Sunday along Interstate 40 near Seminole.

Dead are:

•Glenn R. Fields, 38, Rich Creek, Va.

Albert A. Hancock, 32, Dublin, Va.

Fields was driving west along Interstate 40 about 4 a.m. Sunday when his tractor-trailer left the roadway and hit a parked car, then went into a broad slide and landed on the driver's side.

Fields was pinned in the rig, and Hancock was thrown from the cab. Another passenger, Terry W. McGlothlin, 35, of Dublin, Va., was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital to be treated for head injuries.

His condition was listed only as "stable.”

The driver of the car, William Hicks, 54, of Wartburg, Tenn., and his passenger, Patricia Hicks, 48 of Lake Shore, Miss., were not injured.

The patrol said none of the drivers were wearing seat belts.
