‘Samson Effect' offers fast-paced adventure

Seldom has a thriller evoked as many emotions as a new novel by Tony Eldridge, "The Samson Effect” (iUniverse, $15.95 paperback, $25.95 hard cover), which takes the reader on a ride as perilous as a roller coaster.

All the ingredients are there: Intrigue, murder, torture, romance, sinister plots, thrill-a-minute adventures and more.

Eldridge's own summary of the book best tells the story: "Dr. Thomas Hamilton, an American Biblical archaeologist, and Dr. Michael Sieff, an Israeli Biblical linguist, discover ancient evidence for a lost secret so powerful, it may initiate the final jihad between Islam and the rest of the world. The author, who is somewhat of an Old Testament scholar, has obviously put his heart and soul into this work.
