WACO, Texas – Nathan Peterson finally enjoyed the kind of quarterback-cracking fun he's been seeking all season and yet, he wasn't satisfied.

Peterson racked up three sacks, highlighting a defensive effort that produced a season-high five sacks total among 10 tackles for losses.

His problem: Baylor quarterback Blake Szymanski twice escaped Peterson's chase.

"That's all I've been thinking about, the two that got away,” Peterson said. "

Personally, Peterson boosted his season sack total to six and his career total to 20.5 – good enough for fourth place on the all-time OSU chart, passing Rodney Harding and John Washington in the process.

"I haven't had the pass rush I've wanted this year,” Peterson said. "The whole d-line hasn't. We've struggled.

"This game helps us out. It improves our confidence.”

Some of OSU's success was the result of an increased rotation along the defensive front.
