Missouri quarterback Chase Daniel, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow and Arkansas running back Darren McFadden are considered the three frontrunners for the Heisman Trophy.

Here's how they compare:

Chase Daniel, Jr., Missouri
Stats: 349-of-495 passing, 3,951 yards, 33 TDs, 9 interceptions; 258 rushing yards, 3 TDs.

Case for: He's been consistently outstanding, with no duds among his 12 games.

Case against: The Tigers' schedule hasn't featured many major tests. Although Daniel was good at Oklahoma.

Tim Tebow, So., Florida
Stats: 217-of-317 passing, 3,135 yards, 29 TDs, 6 interceptions; 838 rushing yards, 22 TDs.

Case for: The kid has been a touchdown machine, personally producing 51 total scores.

Case against: Florida lost three of its biggest games – Auburn, LSU and Georgia. Although it's hard to blame Tebow for any of them, he didn't overcome the odds, either.

Darren McFadden, Jr., Arkansas
Stats: 304 carries, 1,725 rushing yards, 15 TDS; 21 receptions, 164 yards, 1 TD; 6-of-11 passing, 123 yards, 4 TDs.

Case for: Most agree, he's college football's greatest talent and a likely future star in the NFL.

Case against: He's looked human on occasion: 43 yards in a loss to Auburn; 61 yards against Florida International; 88 yards against Mississippi State.
