Large prizes won't boost sales, lawmaker says

House Republican leaders criticized the state Lottery Commission on Thursday for seeking to remove a requirement that 35 percent of profits go to education.

For the first two years, 30 percent of lottery profits have gone to education, but that is set to increase to 35 percent.
