BEST BETS
•"CSI: NY,” 7 p.m., KWTV-9. Oscar winner Marlee Matlin and champion figure skater Sasha Cohen guest star in "Silent Night.” Matlin plays the mother of a murdered teenager who was hiding a family secret, and Cohen plays the best friend of a slain fellow skater who fears she might have been the killer's target. Both investigations prove traumatic for Lindsay, who confides a secret about her past to Stella.

WORTH A LOOK
•"My Name Is Earl,” 7 p.m., KFOR-4. Frank asks Earl to tell his girlfriend why he's not available for a conjugal visit. The woman breaks up with Frank, and Earl, feeling guilty, makes it his mission to get them back together.
•"Ugly Betty,” 7 p.m.,
KOCO-5. As the staff at Mode prepares for the annual Black and White Ball, Amanda prepares to go public with the news that she's Fey Sommers' daughter, and Claire prepares to crash the party. Betty can't decide whether she likes or hates the odd new sandwich guy, Gio, in "Betty's Wait Problem.”
•"30 Rock,” 7:30 p.m., KFOR-4. Jack learns that Don may be retiring as head of GE and wants to go for the job. His nemesis, Devin, has the inside track, though, having just gotten engaged to Don's daughter. Another obstacle: Word gets out about Jack's heart attack. Liz is being pressured to get her life together. Jenna enjoys her new body and newfound fame.
•"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” 8 p.m., KWTV-9. Remember when Grissom found a model of the crime scene correct to the last detail? That crime remains unsolved, and in this episode, he's working a new murder when a replica of this crime scene appears.
•"Without a Trace,” 9 p.m., KWTV-9. Issuing a death threat to someone who defies death for a living seems like overkill. Nevertheless, that's what's happened to this episode's missing person: a stuntman who vanishes from a film set after a particularly risky stunt.
