OU's Holmes ineligible for Fiesta Bowl
Junior CB didn't make trip; Stoops says Franks or Jackson will start
PHOENIX — Oklahoma will have to make do without another starting defensive back.
Junior cornerback Lendy Holmes did not make the trip to Arizona and will not play in the Fiesta Bowl against West Virginia , coach Bob Stoops confirmed Wednesday night.
Holmes failed to qualify academically, which made him ineligible for the game.
