Gene's Top Ten Movies of 2007

Guns, knives and blunt instruments played prominent parts in many of my favorite films for 2007. I don’t know if that’s because I’m reverting back to my cops-and-robbers and cowboy-loving childhood, or finding a vicarious release for my pent-up anger over too many wasted hours watching movie misfires. But it just so happens some of the year’s best cinematic storytelling involved shooting, stabbing and slugging, although there were a few disarming gems that flashed no weapons at all.
