Two Mountaineers ineligible for Fiesta Bowl
Backup quarterback and fifth-year senior Adam Bednarik and reserve sophomore defensive lineman Mike Bilokonsky were ruled academically ineligible for the Fiesta Bowl, West Virginia interim coach Bill Stewart said Thursday.

Bednarik has seven career starts at quarterback, but had fallen down the depth chart after suffering a shoulder injury last season.

Bilokonsky played sparingly, appearing in only six games this year.

•Clapp, Knall back home: OU fullback Matt Clapp and punter Mike Knall are the only two Sooners from Arizona.

Clapp attended Phoenix's Paradise Valley High School, which is in the same school district as Pinnacle High School, OU's Fiesta Bowl practice site.

Knall went to Scottsdale's Chaparral High School before playing for the Fighting Artichokes of Scottsdale Community College, West Virginia's practice site.
