What's on TV?

•NFL Football: New England Patriots at New York Giants, 7 p.m., KFOR-4 and KWTV-9. The New England Patriots will try to become the first NFL team to go 16-0 in the regular season. This game was originally scheduled to air only on the NFL Network, but the league announced Wednesday that the network's feed will be simulcast on NBC and CBS.

•"Samantha Who?” 7 p.m., KOCO-5. For those who missed the start of this freshman sitcom's run or forgot how it all began, here's a mini-marathon of the first few episodes. The pilot introduces Sam (Christina Applegate), who awakens from a coma with her memory gone. As she assembles the puzzle pieces, she realizes that the old Sam was not a nice person. Maybe with her slate literally wiped clean, she can become someone completely different.

•"GoodFellas,” 7 p.m., A&E. Nicholas Pileggi's book about Henry Hill, an ex-mobster now in the Witness Protection Program, formed the basis for this violent but funny 1990 Martin Scorsese offering. The film earned six Academy Award nominations, including a win for Joe Pesci as best supporting actor. Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Paul Sorvino and Lorraine Bracco also star.

•"Music and Lyrics,” 7 p.m., HBO. Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore both get to do what they do best in this genial romantic comedy, with Grant as a has-been singer who gets the surprising chance for a comeback when a musical teen queen (Haley Bennett) asks him to write a hit tune for her. He can come up with a melody but not the words, so he asks his plant lady (Barrymore) — who has a way with improvising them — to help him out. However, she's reluctant to do so.

•"Masterpiece Theatre,” 8 p.m., OETA-13. Did you swoon over Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy in "Pride and Prejudice”? Meet Toby Stephens, whose portrayal of Mr. Rochester in this four-part "Jane Eyre” drew raves. Ruth Wilson gives an equally inspired performance as Jane, the plucky orphan he hires as a governess, in what many are calling the best screen take on Charlotte Bronte's classic. Even if Toby's not your type, you'll enjoy it.

•"The Sound of Music,” 6 p.m., KOCO-5. How did this flick become a holiday movie when it's not about the holidays? And how did "My Favorite Things” become a Christmas song with only passing references to snowflakes and packages? Who cares? It's a great family-time op. Julie Andrews stars as the nun-turned-nanny who wins over a chilly baron (Christopher Plummer) and his brood.

•"Star Trek: First Contact,” 8 p.m., SCI FI. In a story reminiscent of "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home,” the Enterprise crew blasts into the past to save the future. Its mission: Stop the Borg from mucking up humanity's first encounter with Vulcans and taking over the Earth. Patrick Stewart, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Brent Spiner, Gates McFadden and other familiar faces from "Star Trek: The Next Generation” are aboard.
