Despite stars, 'The Bucket List' lacks kick
Ho-hum film wastes Nicholson, Freeman
Everything about the setup for Rob Reiner 's " The Bucket List ” portends numerous trips to the awards podium: Two great elder statesmen of cinema face down death in a globe-trotting, tear-jerking buddy flick. And when those grand old men of film are Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman , it should be, to recall an early Reiner film title, a sure thing.
